Summer provides many opportunities for parents and young children to enjoy unforgettable books together. Children should enjoy reading and/or listening to stories throughout the summer. What a wonderful way to spend quality time together!

Students are encouraged to keep a record of how many pages they read during the summer. Below is a list of suggested books to choose from for your grade level. Hopefully, you will choose to become involved with the summer reading program at the public library as well. You can check www.arbookfind.com to see whether a book is an AR book and if it is on your child’s level, but all books are great!

Any student who returns his/her CCS Reading Log will receive a special prize from the librarian. Our top page readers will be recognized in chapel and receive a book. Have a wonderful summer enjoying the many journeys and adventures you will go on as you read!
