Located just 15 minutes south of Atlanta, the mission of Community Christian School is to introduce students to Christ, developing Christian character through spiritually dynamic and academically challenging programs, while preparing them to be godly leaders who will make a difference for Christ.

Community Christian School is looking for a dynamic leader and Christ follower to take on the role of Director of Student Life for its Middle and High Schools. Interested candidates should be passionate about setting a Christian example for students, building, leading, and maintaining a structured and positive climate for students and families, and working closely collaborating with instructional and pastoral staff to plan and orchestrate chapel and similar activities for students’ spiritual growth. Salary for this position is negotiable and will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skills.

Start Date: Spring, 2024, (specific start date to be determined upon hire)

Required qualifications include:

  • Belief in Jesus Christ and status as saved Christian in accordance with the Christian faith and the mission of CCS
  • Classroom teaching, pastoral, or mentoring experience with students in grades
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Ministry, Education, Counseling, or similar field
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written, oral) in standard English

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Certification in field of expertise
  • Knowledge of current best practices related to student spiritual, social, and emotional success

Essential skills include:

  • Clear and effective communication with all stakeholders
  • Ability to design, implement, monitor, and assess programs for successful spiritual, social, and emotional growth for students
  • Ability to work collaboratively with members of Head of Schools’ leadership team and with all school stakeholders
  • The ability to monitor and ensure a safe and orderly environment for students

General requirements include:

  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Consistent and punctual attendance
  • Ability to travel to and from the workplace
  • Ability and willingness to promote, attend and collaboratively plan extracurricular activities and events related to the school and its affiliated church programs

Required qualifications include:

  • Belief in Jesus Christ and status as saved Christian in accordance with the Christian faith and the mission of CCS
  • K-12 classroom teaching experience, with 6-12 teaching experience preferred
  • Master’s Degree or higher in Educational Leadership or similar field
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written, oral) in standard English

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Current state certification in Leadership field preferred
  • Administrative experience in middle grades or high school
