Annual Fund FAQs

WHERE DOES ANNUAL FUND MONEY GO?

Donors set the direction of their particular gifts. Options include:

  1. The discretion of the Headmaster.
  2. Specific area of school need for the current year as determined by the Headmaster.
    1. Athletics
    2. The Arts
    3. School Equipment
    4. Professional Development/Continuing Education
  3. Other areas as directed by donors.

WHAT SORT OF GIVING COUNTS AS AN "ANNUAL GIFT?"
All giving, cash, in-kind giving, materials, etc. counts toward the annual fund goals. Budgets are based on an estimated amount of cash giving plus the value of other forms of giving (PTO, Sponsorships, etc.).

WHAT IS THE MOST HELPFUL MEANS OF GIVING?
Cash gifts directed to the discretion of the Headmaster are the most flexible, allowing monies to be directed to where the need is greatest; however, all giving makes a positive difference.

WE’RE ALREADY PROVIDING SUBSTANTIAL DOLLARS THROUGH TUITION AND FEES. WHY IS MORE NEEDED?
Any quality academic institution relies on support above and beyond tuition. Annual giving provides a means of lifting the school above the minimum programs of classrooms, teachers, library, and activities and leads us into the realm of maximum excellence. As you can see from this year’s Headmaster’s Priorities, great schools offer advanced technology equipment, outstanding athletic programs, and resources to develop their teachers. Our school could operate without these extras, but we choose to include these additional resources in our continuing quest for excellence.
