Varsity Boys Team Headed To State

On Friday, April 29th, the Varsity Boys Soccer Team played in their quarter-final game. The team beat Central Fellowship Christian School 2-0. Next, they moved on to their semi-final game on May 2nd at Young American Christian School. The Varsity team kicked off at 7 pm.

The game was exciting, with both teams fighting for a chance to score. The Knights competed for possession of the ball and looked for opportunities to take down the Eagles’ defense. Unfortunately, at the end of the game, the score was still 0-0. The Knights kicked it into overdrive in overtime, taking multiple opportunities to show the Eagles what Community Christian School Varsity soccer is made of. But, no goals were made during overtime. Finally, the teams were forced to take penalty kicks. Goalie Ben Davidson blocked three shots; Travis House, Karson Kurey, and Kyle Kurey, all made their penalty kicks, pulling out a win for the Knights. The State Championship will be on Saturday, May 7th, at Lovejoy High School at 5 pm. Come support our Knights as they battle for victory against Alleluia Community School.
