Ten Minute Plays
On Friday, November 18, 2016, the CCS Drama Department put on the 9th Annual Ten Minute Play Festival. High school drama students acted in plays written by classmates, Andy Nguyen, Ananda Tran, and Kolin Kurey. These student-written plays included hotdog costumes, royal kings, and a priest. Kolin’s play took a comedic approach to a daughter receiving her father’s inheritance. Black Rose, by Ananda Tran, featured a girl who finds love and learns to dance. Andy’s play highlighted a grocery store hotdog’s new found freedom. “I liked seeing all my friends’ performances,” freshman, Jada Domingue, says.
Audience members enjoyed deserts and drinks throughout the night. The festival concluded with a special performance of Forsooth!, the play entered into competition by the CCS Drama Department. All in all, it was a great night of performances by the high school students of CCS.
