The Canned Food Drive

Community Christian School’s National Honors Society held a canned food drive from November 7-11. This food drive benefitted the Helping in His Name Food Pantry. Every elementary classroom had a box for the students to bring in their cans. Hygiene items, non-perishable foods, and baby products filled the boxes! The early education building also had its own bin; the NHS seniors picked up the items every day. Mrs. Langston allowed middle and high schoolers to dress down on Wednesday, the 9th, if the students brought in three cans. At the end of the week, the cans were overflowing into the CCS lobby. In addition to the cans, hygiene items, and baby products, Community Christian also provided monetary donation. Brittany Adams, president of NHS, exclaimed, “The canned food drive is an excellent way to help those around us in need.”
